Hey all i was wondering if any of you could help me i would like to get into acting but not really sure how to do it. I have been told that there are some websites that act as sort of agents and hold your CV and stuff. If any of you know anything like this or any other info that could help it would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Its prob Movie Extras.ie ye heard about

If you're only startin and want actual roles, try a course in acting

I'm sure theres a lot for you to learn, and it helps being around the right people, contacts wise also

Community theatre is a good place to start off

I know absolutely nothing about acting but I would be hugely confident that you shouldn't hedge your bets on the internet......but if you ARE going to.....I'll represent you for 500 quid a week.

    Expect similar offers.

This is a fairly reputable course:

    http://www.gaietyschool.com/courses/full_time/

Colin Farrell and some others attended it. But obviously many go there and never make any inroads to an acting career. Also, it costs about 6k a year (2 years).

You could also try Trinity. They have a full degree course in acting. Google their website.

Colaiste Dhulaigh do a decent level 7 course. In order to get a proper level 8 qualification though you'd need to move to England to complete the degree (like all Dhulaigh courses).
