Laying ceramic tiles on a hallway floor

    Hi,

Can someone advise me on the best way to start off laying ceramic tiles on a hall floor please ? To complicate matters I want to lay the tiles in a diagonal pattern in the hall. I have attached a layout of the floor and as you will see it is like a U on its side. When I laid ceramic tiles (diagonally) on the kitchen floor last year I had no problem as the room was square so I was able to lay out chalk lines to get the center of the room. Would it be best if I was to start at the bottom right (where the kitchen door is marked) and use the wall on the right as a guide ?

    Thanks,
    Michael
