I'm not bragging, complaining or offering tickets just looking for some help.

I have a choice of tickets for next week - one seat is 5 rows back from the sideline on the halfway line, is that too close and too low to see the game? The alternative is Row Y and in the same section.

Any time I've been to CP for a rugby game it's in the Davin Stand or Cusack /Davin Corner so I'm not sure of what the view wil be like on the halfway line and down low.

Trust me, row Y on halfway is one of the best seats in the house. Anything within 10 rows of the sideline makes it hard to follow the game, (your a lucky b*stard by the way!!!!!!)

    You're bragging, admit it! :P

Go for Row Y, great seats

Myself and my Brother had the same situation and went for the same row, Same place so might see ya there,(I'll be the guy wearing red :P )

Personal I think the lower the seat the better for a proper view.

    i'd go for y too.

i steward at the games and when i'm on the sideline you feel the intensity but don't really see the over all picture....you are too low

That's why I like the idea of Row E but to get a good view I'm considering Row Y.

BTW - I hope to bring the camera should I still go for Row Y?

i`ve been to a few games their, and always close to the pitch.Great seats but as a few have said, you cant really see the big picture,if you know what i mean.so id definitly go for the seats further back.no matter where your sitting you`ll see a Munster win.......;)

yeah..it's a bit of a toss up tbh....i suppose you can always watch the game later to get the nuances of why it went the way it went . perhaps i'm too used/bored of being up close to the action but i prefer to see the tactics/strategies involved as well as getting into the game.

camera will be fine where ever imo

oh and bluedoor...we get it, you believe Munster are going to win. No need to drag it into every thread. thanks.

It's hope more than anything ruggie.and I think I only mentioned it once before.I've seen a lot worse replies.in any case there will definitly be an Irish team in the final, and no matter which one it is,I'll be cheering them on

Davin Stand Upper Tier: Section 719 ROW B

    or

Hogan Stand Lower Tier: Section 324 ROW T

    ??

I'm not intimate with the seating of Croker, but avoid the upper stands.

Why? When in the upper Hogan or Cusack I have always had pretty decent views.

Section 719 is immediately behind the goals and as you're near the front you should have a decent view but it's the upper tier and I've never been up there so can't judge how far from the field you'll be.

Section 324 is on the corner and Row T must be about 20 rows back, I think it a reasonable seat. I was in this area for the Irl v Italy match last year and was happy enough with the view, can't remember the exact section or row :( The photos below were taken at this match.

My choice of the two would be Section 324.

Remember the try line will be a good distance away from the Davin and Hill 16 ends as the pitch is a lot smaller than the actual GAA field.

    Prefer the Upper Cusak myself.

I'm in 705 somewhere, there's not many places in Croke Park where you get a bad view.

Attached is a Croke Park seating plan, very handy for finding out where your seats actually are.

    http://www.crokepark.ie/page/stadium_seating_plan.html

I have been to the first few rows in the Upper Davin (719/720/721) and I think they are possibly the best upper tier seats I have had, you are near the front and have a great overall view of the game

In 324 you are a bit 'wedged' into the corner.

i'd definetely prefer the lower stands. The tickets i get are normally in the davin stand lower in section 318-320(behind the posts) and most of the way up towards the back and u have a really good view and still feel close enough to the action. I was up in the cusack stand for the all blacks match in the upper tier section 702 only about 5/6 rows from the front. U have a good birds eye view but u felt really far away and the players looked really small. So ya I'd go for the lower stands :)

I was in 324 (cant remember the row) for the Ireland vs France match this year, attached is a pic of my view if its any use in helping you decide!

Looks like a double-letter row (RR or somewhere close). The T row is low than that methinks.

Hey thank you all, I forgot about this thread I went for the upper Davin because it was row B.

I'm usually in 521, couldn't get them for this game though, rugby fans are coming out of the woodwork for this one. (...not bragging or anything of course, the view is pretty good though:P)
