    I am posting this to help a friend. All I know so far is that it's a 2 year old laptop that often refuses to "switch on". Now this could me the main switch or it could mean fails to boot. She did mention something about needing an XP Front page CD as the one that came with the computer is back in France.

    As there seem to be a lot of repairers advertising these days I just wondered if there were any recommendations.
