Bad lightening today and the computer died on me as well as the skybox. The computer and sky box have now come back up and the thunder is gone but now I'm concerned about future lightening causing a power surge and damaging the computer and skybox. So what's the best surge protection?

Buy a Power Surge adaptor thingy, you can plug phone lines into them too, very handy!

Thanks - this is a bit of a mad thing. Never been affected by lightening to such an extent till we moved here and so far we've had two weekends without electricity for a certain amount of time due to lightening! No there's no rod running from the roof to the ground that I can see, unless it's hidden in the building works!

Most Houses don't have lightning rods. Make sure the skypox is disconnected from the phone too as the strike can be miles away and travel along the line.
