I have around 700 MB of files on an old laptop that I want to get off it. NO cd burner.

I have an old Peak 256 MB USB key that used to have drivers available on peakhardware.com, can't find them now.

Any ideas of what I could do to get those file?

Looking at the page you posted they have windows 98 drivers available here:

Might not be for your model but worth a try, failing that you can buy a 1 or 2 GB usb key nowadays for very little.

or just download windows 98 usb pack, google it ,install it ,reboot pc,win98 has no inbuilt drivers 4 usb devices, when it was released. You dont need a specific driver 4 each usb key, aldi have 2gig usb keys 12euro approx.

You'd need a network port on both laptops / computers. Get a crossover cable http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=302023 . Plug it in, one end in each.

You'll need to right click on the folders you wish to copy, click properites, and enable sharing.

They should then show up when you go into My network places on the other computer. You can then copy them onto the other computer. Fast and easy!

Alternatively if you have a broadband router, connect both computers to this using a normal (non crossover) cable and set up sharing as above
