    Ok just a quick question I can't seem to get a definite answer for. Do aerobic organisms have an absolute need for both peroxisome and catalase or just one of them or neither? cheers :confused:

    I presume you are talking about bacteria? As far as I remember if they are obligate aerobes they have both. Facultative anaerobes don't have peroxidase. Microaerophilic don't have either but have superoxide dismutase, as do the previous classes.
