    my wifes BMW 318ti 99d failed the NCT because the ABS light was one

    a mechanic told me it needs a new ABS pump

    where could i get a 2nd hand one

    Just be very sure your mechanic has the diagnosis right on this one.

    The light being on ususlly reflects a wheel sensor being gone (but could be many other things). How did the mechanic diagnose the pump?

    wouldnt have a clue to be honest but he is a mate & has been a mechanic for years so id trust him

    Maybe just get him to explain to you how he came to this conclusion... Just make sure he is confident he has the problem captured properly.

    Bring it to a diagnostics specialist for a second opinion.
