Have a set of Titleist irons from 5 to pw. Bought them on the internet and could only stretch the budget to get them without a 3 and 4 iron. My ball striking has improved a fair bit and now i am happier hitting my 5 iron as opposed to the rescue 4 i have, even though i am forcing it. Anyone know if its possible to get 3 and 4 irons seperatly anywhere.

Not easy to get individual irons. It would be easier to sell your current set and get another set.

Why don't you like your rescue wood? Maybe you should learn to use it.

I have bought single irons in the past. Most good golf shops or your local pro can order them in for you. Have you tried the website where you bought them?

You could post a request in the for sale, swop, loan thread stating the model you are looking for

Dont mind using the rescue to be honest but hitting it into the wind the ball tends to go much too high and loose distance. I also hit a buddys 3 and 4 iron and seem to me to be more accurate. Thanks for the super advice.

I emailed the site alright but have heard nothing back yet. Good call about the for sale, swop, loan thread. Will do that thanks.

They are titleist 755 forged in case anyone has any info.

Some sets don't have a 3 or 4 and they were not available to order separately as the manufacturer never made them. However I'd imagine that for Titleist forged sets, matching 3s and 4s were probably made and can be gotten. If they were available as special order individual irons then it will be easier to find someone selling one than someone selling, say, a matching 7 iron. Just keep an eye on ebay etc and be patient. If you see the right club but with the wrong shaft then consider buying it and getting it reshafted, will work out expensive but if you really want the long irons that might be your only option.

I have gone through this sort of process trying to get a matching Wilson 2 iron. I found Irish golf shops completely useless. This is the sort of bullsh1t i got
"what's you handicap, you're probably not able to hit a 2, why do you need one anyway. Anyhow they can't be gotten, yeah I' m 100% sure of it, Wilson never made them, well I don't have one anyway"

After some research I found that Wilson did in fact make the iron I wanted and after a bit of patience I found one on ebay.

Keep watching ebay - individual irons crop up a lot.
The problem is that a lot are in the US, so postage will cost.
If you are registered on EBay you can set up a saved search that will notify you when something matching your description is available.

I had a quick look and at the moment there is a 4-iron available (also a 3-iron but it's a stiff shaft). When you add in postage costs they aren't cheap though.

Another place worth trying is here....http://www.ironfinder.com/?ad=0300
    Again it's expensive.

You might be better following the earlier advice and try to sell your own and the buy a 3-PW set.

Those sites are just what im looking for but could cost a bit. Thanks. Will do a bit of scouting over the next few weeks.

Priced selling my set and replacing them with the same full set and would be dropping over 100 pounds GB. Plus my own set are in good condition.

    Thanks

Recently bought a single 4 iron to supplement my Mizuno set from directgolf.co.uk and it worked out much cheaper than buying from the States,
    Good luck

Any ideas on replacing a particular iron from a set - if you lost or broke one?
    (I recently broke my 8-iron).

I have seen sites in the US that will do this but they:
    a) are expensive
    b) don't ship outside of the US
    c) charge and arm and a leg for shipping

Good site alright but they dont deal in single irons. Tried them the other day for a trade in so i could upgrade my set and they quoted substantially lower than i expected. Have to recomend ebay for single irons based on a couple of evenings research.

I have got 2 irons in McGuriks before. Very helpful they told me what sets I could order individual irons in and then arranged one for me (took a couple of weeks). Not the cheapest option by many a means but worth exploring. Also amazing what you can turn up in the second hand bag
