Hi all, I finished chemotherapy a month ago and just wondering how long it will take for my hair to start growing back. I have a small bit of stubble already but seems ages. My eyebrows and eyelashes have already started coming back too. I was also on steroids and my face is really puffy because of them - how long will it take to return to normal?

In normal circumstances, you should see a decent growth in 3 weeks but I'm not sure about what happens with chemo. My aunty got chemo and lost her hair and hers grew back fully and her face is normal. Not sure how long it took, sorry..

Best luck with it though Bubbles09!

    Hey there,

Great to be finished the chemo and onwards and upwards.

It varies a bit but could take anything between three and six months before you have full re-growth ie to the point you were before the drug therapy started.I know some people where it is much quicker.Remember to take loads of fresh air and walking when you are up to it and increase your fruit and veg in your diet as much as you can afford. No harm ether in multi vitamins, extra zinc and iron especially.Any concerns discuss with your doc.

    Best of luck.
