This evening I got the following text from an electrician I used a couple of weeks ago:
Hi, I am selling a product which will take 25 - 30% off your electricity bill. Interested?

It was clearly a group text so I haven't got back to him and probably won't but I'm curious what this could be. To be honest I don't want to contact him as I wasnt that that happy with his previous work. Any idea's what it could be? Maybe he's going to sign me up to Bord Gais... :pac:

I used to sell this product. Basically, I get your home address, then I take a down payment from you and then have the "lads" call around during the week and forcibly remove all your home entertainment and electronic equipment. You should notice the savings in your next bimonthly billing cycle.

Most likely this is what he is selling http://www.earthwhile.co.uk/Shop/Energy_Monitoring/Owl_Wireless_Energy_Monitoring_Device/product.html

I saw it at a Home and Garden show recently. It just shows how much energy you are using, it can hardly be called an energy saving device though.

Man I hate to tell you this but if your girl is only having her period every two months then you have an awful lot more to worry about than your ESB bill....unless your girl is Lucy Kennedy in which case, you're sorted.

It's also bloody obvious when it's being done. To the point where you'll be charged a massive fine rate.

Electricity is not like Cable TV.... it is actually possible to track where it goes, and where more of it is being used than otherwise should be.

If Lucy Kennedy is your girl you have enough problems.
