    Chest freezer is more power efficent (if you have the space).

    plus try to get one with more than one door and keep it filled. Their efficiency depends on their use, if you have a one door large freezer half full everytime you open it the cold air escapes leaving a lot of work for the freezer to do when you close it again. So one with more than one compartment is good.
