I'm looking at getting a refurbished Canon 350D on ebay from these guys . I just want it as a backup body and so I can take it places I wouldn't take my main camera. Just seeing if anyone has any thoughts on buying a refurbished camera or if anyone has done it before. They say it's Canon Refurbished "A CLASS" to BRAND NEW Condition.

Go for it,i've only bought 3 bodies and all were used,My first DSLR coming from Japan and that was a 300D so you should be fine!

I would have no issue buying second hand or refurbished gear but personally I think a feedback score of 99.3 is quite low. Maybe find a buyer with a better score if possible.

As long as there is a warranty, it should be ok.

Mind you, I sold my old 20D a few months ago for not a lot more than that price.

You might be better off looking for a reliable 2nd hand SLR from someone on boards or such.
