Does anyone know where the rumour about asylum seekers and refugees getting free cars came about?

I just saw it in another thread and just wondered why the hell so many actually people believe it.

You're always going to have people looking at other people and been jealous of the fact they may have things which the others can't afford. They'll put 2 and 2 together and get 5.

I think it stemmed from them getting a grant (about 6000) towards thier taxi plate afaik

Since asylum seekers are prohibited (afaik) from seeking employment I'd be surprised if they where given a grant to do so.

i speak with many of them - and guess what - many of them cant stand some of their own - so before you jump on the raceist band wagon - what do call a nigerian who tells you he hates 4 nigerian's in the same center he is in - a double raceist
