I originally asked this in an unrelated thread a while back but nobody responded, probably because it's off topic...

Slap me if I'm asking a stupid question but does anyone know of a good card for GBA games?

I have an R4 and i'm very happy with it (even though i currently have to use YSMenu firmware due to lack of support) but it can't play any gameboy advance games...

Ideally, i'm looking for a card that will not only play in my GBA, but also use microSD as opposed to internal memory and a simple drag'n'drop filing system. But of course this probably doesn't exist since all the homebrew devs moved on to the DS as soon as this technology became possible :(

Thanks in advance guys (pun very much intended! )

So basically i'm looking for a card for advance only, with a decent amount of storage space. Cheers :)

    Have a read of this:

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055377307

    :)

I actually bought an EZflash 3 in 1 only to find it fits in the DSlite and I have a DS phat so I have one if you want one quickly. Someone mentioned in the quoted thread that they have taken off the GBA feature so would have to check that out..................

I have a DS phat too :) I was actually looking for a card that didn't require a ds and could run in a regular gba but it's looking like they don't exist...

This is the one for the DS phat, its just out of stock:

    Edit

Does anyone know a reliable site I could get one of these? Have tried volumerate and focalprice and they don't do them. I suspect it will be hard to get.

This would work as a standalone option: (from my understanding)

    Info here:

Yep, IsThatSo? is dead right. This is what I have in my GBA Micro. Works well, just to be aware when you are buying a memory card its mini sd, not micro like your R4, and most other things use these days.

You will have to put ROMS through a little bit of software to make them useable but its VERY easy.

So not as user friendly as DS flashcards these days, but a good option for GBA.

Thanks for the advice - i just ordered a Supercard and miniSD off dealextreme :)

One more question though. I had a look around a few websites and they all mentioned that there are compatibility issues with a few games but none of them said which ones! Did any of you experience any problems like this, and can you confirm which games work for you?
