I am travelling to Cuba for a number of weeks in May. Was just wondering if its possible to watch the English football on TV there. The FA Cup final (I'm a Everton Fan) is on the 3oth May. Do Hotels in havana/Veradono have the relevant stations to watch. Much appreciate some info.

When I was there in 2005 the hotel showed the european cup, but the picture was awful apparently. Didn't bother me, soccer isn't my bag.

Basically, if a sporting event is available to them, they'll show it.

Hi Leon, sorry that I can't answer your question but I was thinking of going to Cuba during the summer and was wondering are you finding it a really expensive holiday? Any other tips about Cuba or anyone else would be great!

    Hi,

The holidays for 2 weeks flights departure dublin via paris, 7 days 5* hotel in Havana, 7 days 5* in Varadero including drink&food has cost €3200.00. Visa & insurance has cost €120. We usually go away at easter but instead have kept the cash for this trip.I have some links that i will send onto regarding things to do in Cuba and general info...

Hey was there a couple of years ago. Wouldnt be too sure about te hotels in Havana, I can recall a couple of them having CNN but not too sure about the sports channels. However stayed in varadero for a few nights at the end of our trip for a bit of r'n'r and the hostel had ESPN showing Champs League Quarter finals so they might show the FA Cup, had highlights of the Premiership as well!
It was the spanish ESPN so was gas listening to the eccentric commentators.
I'd say you will find it on somewhere, good idea would to be to get in the touch with the British embassy there....they could give you some info....worth a try!

If it's on an American station chances are you'll have it in the hotel via satellite. The only UK TV I've seen in Varadero was the BBC News or BBC World choice.

In the US, the FA Cup is shown on the Fox Soccer Channel, which isn't nearly as widespread as ESPN
