Funding for a Masters abroad?

I want to do a masters in 2010/11 in a European country - most likely one of France, Switzerland or Belgium. Just wondering what financial support is available for these? Eu / local authority grants? Do I need to apply for these in France or in Ireland Would it make any difference that Switzerland is not part of the EU?…

Would it make any difference that Switzerland is not part of the EU?

Also, I will be 22, would it make any difference if I waited a year until I was 23 - would I be considered a mature student?

Local authority grants are only for study in the North + the Republic. I've no idea about EU grants. Most universities offer grants/scholarships though, check out the websites of the universities you're going to apply to for more info.
