Funding for a Masters abroad?

I want to do a masters in 2010/11 in a European country - most likely one of France, Switzerland or Belgium.

Just wondering what financial support is available for these? Eu / local authority grants? Do I need to apply for these in France or in Ireland

Would it make any difference that Switzerland is not part of the EU?

Also, I will be 22, would it make any difference if I waited a year until I was 23 - would I be considered a mature student?

Local authority grants are only for study in the North + the Republic. I've no idea about EU grants. Most universities offer grants/scholarships though, check out the websites of the universities you're going to apply to for more info.
