    Hi all,
New to boards so go easy on me!

I am looking for golf membership in a 'good' golf course,
I am quite young and would be interested in joining/leasing membership.

Here are a list of the things I am looking for:

    1. No joining fee!!! (VITAL)
    2. Practice facilities (Chipping area, range etc)
    3. Within half an hour of Dublin (West)

I have between €1,200 and €1,600 to spend

I am in the golf business and have received some decent offers, but have heard the likes of Carton House and Druids Glen in or slighty over my budget on a lease membership, I would be very interested in something like this!!!!

So if the boardies know of any sensational offers from their own clubs or if they know someone leasing a membership I would be grateful for all help given!!!

    Thanks;
    DRAGON

6 months cus its closing at the end of the year. But likely to be even better membership offers around next year, so mighnt be a bad temporary move depending on what you're looking for.

I just got a summer membership (for the rest of the year) in Royal Tara Golf Club for €400. All green fees included any time. However no gui handicap. Just 5 mins on the other side of dunshaughlin. Takes me 30 mins from Castleknock.

As for Luttrellstown, I was a member there for the last 3 years (no cash no to join), it is an incredible course with incredible facilities. If i had the money, i'd be there in a heartbeat.

This was advertised in the local free paper this week

    Hi there

Tulfarris is offering memership for €1000 and it is one of my favourite courses in the country. Best setting of any lakeland course away from Killarney. They are filtering the membership money to the receiver so if it does go pearshaped then you will get some money back.

    Worth a visit i think

Portmarnock Links (the newer Portmarnock course) are open to members, they aren't charging any hello money but the 7day is above your price range(€2900). There is also a 4 day membership option for €1400.

Can those facilities be used by non-members?

They probably don't allow it, but in the past I've spent hours on the practice green during the summer with a mate. No one has ever kicked us out.
