I'm in the exact same boat as you but I think we have plenty of time to start studying as we have six weeks which I think should be enough time for us for the Junior cert but if it was the leaving cert we would be f****d but I think we'll be fine no need to get stressed out

In all honestly, it really depends on the type of person you are when it comes to study... I have been having formal exams for 3 years and I find that I can NEVER study before 6 weeks beforehand...

    But that's just me

When I did my Junior I was in such a state I didn't study (all higher too), I started 3 weeks before hand and did grand (all A's & B's).
You'll be fine as long as you study everything fully and don't leave anything out. Answering past exam papers is so important.

Start with science would be my advice.. Just finished the chemistry part of the course in detail! Know it from top to bottom.. That was all from 3weeks of sweat and tears (and i personally love chemistry).. Next is physics (grrr..) and i dont think ill even bother with biology! Ha.. Oh and i should be really learnin history but to be honest, i couldnt give two s**ts.. But if you want to do well then just study study study!! For the next 5weeks, im gonna be locking myself in my room.. Gud luck!

Ah okay, I thought you meant you had JUST done chemistry, getting a bit worried yano :P
On the Home Ec paper you might wanna prepare a garment Q, they usually always appear and are easy marks if you have it all covered.

    Hahaha
Oh you know the symbols for wool, cotton and electrical symbols etc., one or two always comes up in the short answer Q's. Umm trying to think haha, the nutrition questions is always Q1, there's usually a Q on soups and sauces in either section. Oh and the male/female parts always come up every 2 years, check last years and the other one will come up. I was talking to some third years the other day and they think the teeth will come up.

seriously, it all seems like a huge big worry to you now but just do your best and if you do good thats great, if you do bad just learn from it and work your ass off for your leaving! :D
just use the summary things at the end of the chapters in your books and look at what qs always come up and know these inside out.
the less stress books are exellent!
if anyone needs any help in a subject pm me and i might be able to help you out, a few of my mates in college do jc grinds.
    good luck!

Ah the junior cert what a load of bull. As long as u get 56% ur grand nd trust me it not that hard to do. add at least 15% of what u got on the mocks nd thats what ull probally ended up getting. They mark the jc rather than correct it. instead of taking marks off you they give you them. trust me with a little bit of work nd i mean a little u can walk it. 5th year is a different story tho.
