    What would you buy!?
got about 7500 to spend (blow?)
    looking at a BMW 320 D SE 2000/1/2/3 Leather seats under 90000ms
    or a Peugeot 407 HDI 2L 2004/5/6 under 80000ms
have i got a chance of getting either of these mythical cars and if they are to be got what would you go for!
    any advice offered!

Definately the BMW, NOt a 407 fan. that said, it's roomier than the 320

I've always felt the E46 to be a bit overrated as a car, TBH. Given how much more of a 406 one can get for the same money, i'd go French.

thought so but i'm not sure i can get a 320 with good specs for what i can afford:(

unusual shortlist, the 407 is rubbish to drive, the best reason for buying the 3 series is the driving experience..

    But why?

You can get a V6 Petrol auto 5 series for nothing?

Why would you want a little 3 series that sounds like a tractor?

Unless you do 40k miles a year, I dont see the point!

good deal blahblah did you get it at a dealer?
    whats it like to drive?
is there enough power on the overtake?
    lots of questions!

sounds like a terrible idea unless you have good enough reason to turn down a lovely straight six in favour of a diesel that in all likelyhood could be clocked or needs a replacement turbo etc a few years down the line.

No you can't. You can get a straight six 5 Series though if that's what you mean.

I'd have to say I'd go for the BMW this time. I feel anything that Peugeot made after the 406 is pure rubbish.

op I think you will have to up your money or the kilometers for the 320D but there are some good bargains to be had out there.

I don't believe there are bargains to be had with 320d's. there are cheap ones, but there's usually a catch. demand is too high from bargain seekers, which ironically pushes the price up.
