Hey, does anyone know where I can get a cheap leinster jersey. Want to get one for the munster game. Saw them in a shop next to where I work for 80euro, but I'm not a big enough fan to pay that much. Can you get them cheap online or is there some cheap sports shop in town?

    Cheers

Jaysus one minute we have no fans anyway, next minute we're all bandwagoners - can we at least have an accurate slag line? ;)

edit: oh and i'm gonna drop into the leinster store to pick up one the training tops - the royal blue looks great.

Saw them for €30 euro in Lifestyle. Mind you this is in deepest munster, so no idea how much they would be in Dublin.

hey I was in town today and spotted them in Guineys on Earl street of all places. They're only €30. They have the away ones too - picked one up - think they're 50 in the Elverys sale well worth the trip to the Northside :D
seem to have some hoodies too.

Sell your ticket to someone who IS a 'big enough fan'

It annoys me that ive been to almost all ML matches this and last year and I cant get my hands on one ticket for Croke Park.
    Very merry-weather eh?

If you're not a big fan then forget the Leinster jersey and go for a Lions one then you have the jersey for the summer and a neutral one for the game but dont let the Leinster Branch catch you wearing it or your club mightn't get any international tickets in the future. ;)

Uhm, you're probably joking, so I apologise in advance, but surely a Lions jersey wouldn't look neutral? :pac:

Only joking was just wondering how the LB ere going to police their ban on sale of tickets to anyone other than genuine Leinster fans, what would they do if someone turns up in a "neutral red jersey"????????

I think that was a gesture that got taken wildly out of context.

Given Munster's reputation for purloining tickets that weren't meant for them (something everyone approves of) the Leinster Branch decided that wasn't on.

That's fair, but their methods were a bit heavy-handed and unfriendly sounding.

    Perfect for the bandwagon merchants.

I'm sorry isn't it a good thing that more and more people are jumping onto the rugby "bandwagon" as you call it?

With so much competition from other sports its the big events that make people notice and watch rugby. If even a small fraction of these get hooked on the sport is that not a good thing?

I'm not talking about LUNSTERS now, just people following their own provence.

Munster, have a huge following of fickle man-united/chelsea-whoever's-winning style fans, are these the people you're refering to?

If they didn't follow Munster, they probably wouldn't follow anybody, in the same way Man Utd fans don't kick in the doors to see Shamrock Rovers play.

Their money is as good as anyones imo, allows players like Elsom and Howlett be signed.
