The visual artists ireland list up coming craft fairs in their weekly email newsletter and most local arts offices will have a list of local craft fairs so check with them if they have a mail list you can get added to find out about them. The irish craft association has a list of fairs as well. A few shopping centers are starting to run monthly fairs, ask around and see whats happening in your area. Depending on what your selling you can also see about hitting up farmers markets and the like, though I'm not sure how sticky they are about product liability insurance.

Hey, i'm not sure where your located but this might also be of interest to others.
Carrick on Suit in Co.Tipperary are hosting The Clancy Brothers Festival at in early June of this year. One of the organisers mentioned to me this evening that she would like to arrange a Craft Fair as part of the festival. Anyone interested pm me and i can put you in contact with the organiser. Its on for three days and as far as i know the registration fee is very reasonable, I pais 25euro to register for the Art Trail for the whole weekend.

    Do you know the dates?

The festival runs from the 12th to the 15th of June but i'm not sure how many days they want to hold the craft fair. Probably everyday if theres enough interest.

hi, did you find out about craft fairs? I'm in Waterford and I'm looking for places too. I only started in my local farmers market this year and i'm finding it difficult to find out about events.

Try the Craft Council of Ireland website, www.ccoi.ie, they sometimes advertise craft fairs. You used to be able to download Stoppress, their bi-monthly newsletter, which had better info than the website, but for some reason, they don't offer it any more.

I find the local County Enterprise Board very good for information. In Louth we have Louth Craftmark which is run by the Enterprise Board and they run events and craft fairs and even have their own shop where they sell items from a range of handmade items from local craftspeople.

There's also a great website called http://www.irishcraftupdate.com/blog/ and they advertise crafty events all over Ireland too, so you might find something listed there.

Could you let me know when you are having the fair, I am learning to spin and would be interested in seeing if there are any spinners there, maybe next year if you run another one I can take part.

I am getting to the stage where I would like to try selling some of my hand made glass craft at some craft fairs. However, can anyone tell me what the tax implications are, both in relation to income tax and VAT - sorry to bring up the dreaded subject of tax

This one in Clondalkin in Dublin is coming up next week. Already posted it somewhere else here and maybe someone here might like to know about it.

I am also interested in selling my work at craft fair/local markets. I have a full time job and am looking to do this in my spare time.

What are the things I need to sort out before I start?
Are there any craft fairs in the south east?

    All info really appreciated.

it's a mystery to me anyway!! are you registered with the CCOI, maybe they would have a resource of info for this kind of thing for members? might even just be worth a search or a phone call to them they could point you in the right direction?
