    Hi All,

It's a bit difficult for me to talk about this. I'm with my fantastic boyfriend for nearly 8years now. The problem is when we make love and he finishes inside me it stings. Before anyone says its not a sti or anything, were sure of that. Does anyone have any idea wat this could be?? or if its 'normal'? I will go the doc, trying to pick up the courage at the min!!
    thanks

you could either be allergic to semen... (yes it can happen) or... going at it hammer and tongs without enough lube can redden and hurt areas..

I would hazard a guess that you're not lubricated enough.

Try some lube and see if that eases it. It sounds like 'friction' burn or something.

But if lube doesn't do the job, go see your doc.

Does it happen every time? I have noticed this when my partner was around menstruation with an attendant change in ph factor.

Vaginal fluid is slightly acidic and can become more acidic with certain sexually transmitted diseases. The normal pH of vaginal fluid is between 3.8 and whereas male semen is typically between 7.2 and 8.0 (a neutral substance has a pH of 7.0) wikipedia

It might be the reaction of his semen to your fluids(woah never thought I'd be typing that sentence). Some girls fluids might be more acidic than others. Not that sure about this but thought it might be worth mentioning as a theory to check out. Diet might help this if it is true. again I put my hands up, not my area of expertise.

If you mean that when he ejaculates inside you it stings then it could be a range of thing.
From the ph level of his ejaculate being to acidic for the natural enviroment in your vagaina
to anything from thrush ( which is a bacterial imbalance which guys can get too) to a clashing of both your bodies good batcteria which are part of your imune system to an sti.

I suggest that you do go see the dr and that he should to.
If it is something as simple as the ph levels then a change in his diet can help but
it could be an indicator of something more serious so you really need to
see the dr to get everything checked to be sure.
