cracked windscreen...

Hi guys normally I don't post in here but I've a bit of a query ..

Car was vandalized last week ... basically someone decided to put their foot into the windscreen.

Anyways got it replaced ... and a week later a crack has appeared on it

Now there doesn't seem to be any impact point and the crack is smooth. I'm wondering if its possible its how it was installed ? or if its a case of they are at it again :(

Now I also know its probably very hard to give a yes / no answer without seeing it and so on.

The crack is kinda a hairline crack going from about 5 inches from the top of passenger side ... (touches the side of the windscreen) and curves down to the bottom. There is a space in the middle with no crack.

Really looking for opinions before asking the guys who installed it.

Thanks for any advice / opinions

(and I'll potentially get a pic up if that'd be any help)

I have heard of this before. Get back onto the company that installed it, sounds to me like it was not fitted properly.

Guess I was wondering if it can happen and if people have heard of it happening before.
