I posted a thread here on my diet in case its relevant http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=59909218#post59909218

Cliff notes is i lost 10lbs so far this month and should hit the stone mark by the end of the month. I expect my weight loss to slow signficantly after that but id like to be losing around 10lbs each month for May and June.

Current Workout approx 5 days a week
15 mins on the threadmill, not sure if its standard speeds but i do about 3-4mins 8.5, 6-7mins 9.5 and the remainder 10.5, i usually hit around 2.7 in distance over that 15 mins but ive no idea if that KMs or Miles

20 mins on the Bike, start at 8 resistance and move up 1 ever 5 mins

15 mins on the skier, agains working up the resistance every 5 mins.

Then i do about 20 laps in the pool i.e 10 sets of 2 laps (not a great swimmer)

I dont do weight training, the place i go only has a small wieghts areas thats usually busy so its hard to get to use the machines. I do have dumbells and a bar at home but my concern is that i can see myself keeping the gym up long term and the swimming but after these 3 months are up i can only really see myself doing it once a week so is there any point or will the muscles just turn back to fat, basically i dont feel very motivated to do them, if i did would i see much difference for 1-2 times a week, again not interested in building muscles but toning might be another thing.

So i can already feel the fitness improving but im still pretty unfit when it comes to playing 5 aside ball etc so ive a bit to go but do you think increasing that workout to 30mins on each and keeping up the swimming is too much too soon or will i just burn myself out. Right now im not knackered or anything after the full workout but i feel im getting a good workout, the threadmill defintely takes it out of me but the bike and skier i tend to take it a bit easier, i could up the intensities but will this give me more of muscle workout rather than a cardio one? Anyway id like your advice on increasing from 50mins gym workout to 90 mins workout, will i see a difference or will i just burn myself out and would the weight training have much of an effect?
