You really need a Line 6 Pod to get the best out of that guitar.

And sure the guilt will pass soon enough so don't worry about selling to fund

I've got a GT-Pro, that'll have to do for the time being. I really bought it for the acoustic sounds more than anything. There's an acoustic sim pedal in the GT-Pro, but the Line 6 setup is better in that regard.

Turns out that the Line6 guitars need a strong power supply to keep the electronics active. There's a few choices, use the Line6 XPS power supply and a stereo jack to jack cable - which I may end up doing for live work, fit a 9v battery - but that will only last about 90 minutes, or fit a battery box that can take 6xaa batteries. I'll probably go with the aa battery box, as that's what the Line6's have from the factory.

Should get it either today, or tomorrow. I can't freaking wait to get my hands on it and play. I'm only worried now that I'll retire my existing rack system, and put a new Line6 rack on the road instead to compliment the guitar. More money :eek:

It finally arrived! Was a bit worried when I saw the thin box it was travelling in, but the guitar arrived in one piece anyway. There have been no straps fitted to it before, so I'll be drilling strap locks into it tonight when I get home, and I haven't played it yet as it needs some strings, but the neck feels like silk.

Will give it a few days to get used to it, and then I'll route out the cavity to fit the battery box in.
