if we all lived in an alternative universe where every job was paid the same salary, I wander which job would be seen as the best job to have? High paying jobs like film stars, top politicans, bank managers, all being paid the same as a porter, security guard, plumber, retail assistant etc....
    interesting thought!
Which job would you wish to have in this alternative universe?
For me, something to do with music or sport, maybe teaching....

Public fame jobs always will rank high because you get non cash reward; same goes for working outside during the summer (but not the winter) for the tan.

A wine taster in Argentina, would be my idea of a perfect job - but for now I have to settle for being an Argentinian wine drinker in Ireland and paying through the nose for the privilege.

A job I'd love, regardless of pay, would be one of those guys that work with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) making their promo videos, entrance videos, general video editing work, etc.

I'm sure the pressure of the job would be insane, but every time you finish work, you'd have a piece of video that you could look at and say "i did that". Plus millions of people around the world would get to see it, too. It'd be great.

Either that, or i'd be full-time self-unemployed (provided the wage was the same..)

When I lived in Galway I was always on holidays so much so that I didn't have to go foreign for my holidays. I used to play part-time in a small Irish/ballad band and had great fun.
Hopefully I migh be able to do so again if time and money allows.
Most people end up working in intensive jobs that they learn to hate in order to pay off huge mortgages etc.
    I pity them.

Trust me when I say it is not as fun as it sounds. As example was testing of a RTS. They had to drop/shoot 1000 rounds of ammo from every unit on every tile of graphic used in the game. Now rinse repeat for every part. That is what a game tester does, not playing through the game to see "if it is interesting".

It gets a lot better after level 15 (the one where the giant monkey starts throwing barrels at you)
