    Hi

Not sure what type of holiday you're looking for but here goes:

I would suggest Wicklow to you, maybe basing yourself in Bray or Enniskerry, I'm assuming you're driving.

There's a fun park called Clara Lara which is extremely kids orientated in laragh link: http://www.claralara.com/
    About 40 mins from Enniskerry/Bray.
I reccomend this place as you can bring a picnic and spend the day there. loads of boating and fishing and running around. Any kids I've brought here love it and want to go back.

In Bray you have a big long promenade with Dodgem rides etc. the sea of course, sealife, amusement arcades etc. From Bray very handy to get Dart elsewhere.

You're about 40 mins from Brittas Bay, gorgous Beach, not accessable by dart, you'd need to drive.

Also In Enniskerry, Powerscourt Castle which has really really nice walks and cafe etc. http://www.powerscourt.ie/ kids are usually fascinated by the tower and japanese gardens and pet cemetary. They love to roll down the big hills too and feed hte swans/ducks.

Also Powerscourt Waterfall which has a great childrens playground. we've often brought barbrque and picnic and stayed there for the day.

Also of course Glendalough, more outdoors and walking, but could be boring for the kids http://www.glendalough.ie/

You're wouldn't be far from Avoca, which is where Ballykissangel was filmed, ok for a scenic drive and lunch.

Kilcoole, about ten mins from Bray has childrens petting zoo, playground, mini golf, and is where Glenroe was filmed.

All of the area's have great pubs and restaurants for adults!!

Hope that's helpful to you, and you get nice weather!!
    Regards,
    LJ

I would highly recommend a boating holiday on the Shannon. It's very child friendly and kids love being around boats and the water. We went on the Shannon last year and were amazed that it was a predominantly family oriented scene, nearly all the boats had kids aboard and they made friends very quickly with other kids.

    Take a look at http://www.emeraldstar.ie/ and http://www.emeraldstar.ie/what_to_do/Holiday-with-kids
