Anyone remember back in 1989 (i think) the Opel kadett/Corsa MCM

I think it was called the MCM anyway

It had massive wheels at the back and was alot higher aswell
If my memory serves me right they were all white with tellow/black stripes

Anyone got pics or is there any still out there today???

The only ones that I remember in Ireland are the GTE versions. There was a couple of special edition models produced by Opel Ireland to tie in with football (FAI) sponsership but not much past a couple of badges etc)

Yep,they were the Corsa and Kadett cup special editions in 1990.Think they had better steering wheels too.:p

i remember them stupid lookin yokes ,steel wheels banded,mcm homebrew special i know someone who worked there he might have a pic mantamad ,did you ever get that ascona c 2d/r in dalkey?

Think they were a german kit..the wheels were actually wellers, i had them on the manta...9 front 11 backs......:eek:

Yeah I remember them, they were done exclusively by MCM in Stillorgan and were called MCM Extremes. They did 3 door Kadett E's and Corsa A's, though the former were far more popular.

They did use a German bodykit, Zender perhaps, and they ATE wheel bearings ! All cars were the basic small pushrod engined ones.

Opel did produce the Corsa and Kadette "Cup" in 1990 which were all white with football decals, bodycoloured bumpers and hubcaps, green tinted glass, rev counter and 3 Spoke steering wheel. It was an Ireland only model whereas they produced a "Cup" model previously in 1986 which was sold Worldwide, though few made it here.

i remember these. I don;t think I ever saw one on the road but only in the dealership in Stillorgan which used to be MCM Opel. . I at the time I thought they looked alright but I was young and easily impressed Certainly just a kit kind of like the Peugeot Dimma kits, but a bit more ridiculous
