Neighbour has just received their wireless router in the post from Perlico.
What they want to do is not connect it to the PC but have the router in their hallway beside the telephone socket and then their PC will pick up the signal to use the internet.
Is this possable to do as i always thought you had to connect the router directly to the PC??

they will need a wireless card or adapter for their pc if it does not already have one, most laptops are wireless enabled but not all desktop pc's have wireless capabilities built in. check out this or the broadband forum FAQ
