hi - i like to use a pro v1 for putting when i get to the green but tend not to use them in the rest of the hole given my wayward driving etc
as a result when i get up there and mark my ball i switch and drop down a preferred pro v1
does anyone see any problems with this?
is it against the rules and if so surely this is a rule than can be looked over?
i'm not attaining any real advantage over the field in fairness as most people play a pro v1 from start to finish

Hey man I'm not sure if your a Genius trying to be a windup merchant or a windup merchant trying to be a genius....... Either way i find your post damn funny!! You must play the same ball until the hole is finished unless the ball is damaged and deemed by yourself and playing partner(s) to be unfit for play, i.e. cracked/bad cut/or out of round. This is a rule of the game and to decide to waive any rule is in its self a breech of the rules. Keep up the good work man:p

Previous efforts were a tad more subtle, that's a total windup exposing the nonsense completely.

I prefer to use a rubber ball off the tee for launch and bounce benefits, a velcro ball for an approach to help me stick it and a commando ball from bunkers in case my velcro ball gets pushed off course by the wind which is quite a lot. I tend not to use anything to putt as I subcontract my putting out to Lee Trevino. Still haven't won anything yet this year for some reason ?!

Of course you can't do that.

thought that might be the case alright
dont see how it gives me an "advantage" though
is there any club etc that provides tutorials in golf rules
it sounds like i need to study them a little carefully but i'm not interested in reading a 500 page book on the subject
since beginning to read posts here i've already dropped the use of my sunglasses, stopped lifting balls when behind trees (and obstacles in general) and now i'll have to put the pro v1s away for a few years

I think we now know its a wind up. Time to stop it now Conno. Enough is enough

Im not sure on the wind up, I put a combination of lack of proper punctuation in his posts, the complete dumbness of most of his posts and the "16" at the end of his username that he's actually a silly teenager at best.

Could it be someone from forum with a second account just doing it for the craic?

If you were in enough doubt about what you 'were doing' to start a thread on it, then surely you could have spent the 3 or 4 minutes looking up the rule first instead of typing here.
If you want clarification of a rule by all means ask.... but don't spout how you CBA reading the rules while looking for someone else to babysit you.
Thread closed and patience wearing ever thinner with this ninja.
