If money was no object, the Orbea, because it's carbon and it's an Orbea... If money was an issue the Planet X, probably is better value for money. There is probably not a huge difference between 105 and Ultegra mind, if the PX and the Orbea were the same price I would go for the latter.

money is always an issue but to be honest i would rather spend money on an a bike than a car ...orbea looks amazing in the flesh but it is a bit pricey, i wonder if for this money i should stretch for a trek madone...

Can you get a Trek Madone for €1,500? Trek Madone is a very nice bike but generally overpriced in my opinion (I am a former Trek 1000 and 5000 owner.) Orbeas are a bit different.

Which Madone? The 4.5? Treks are very common here, much more than Orbea... In that case, maybe consider it, my Trek 5000 was a lovely bike and the Madone is only better. Orbea looks good too though and you are buying locally :)

The Orbea looks ace. Not as many people will have them. I'd go for that.

only thing left to decide now is the colour, white or red,
