female singer looking to start band.

    Hi there,
    I'm a nineteen year old female from meath and looking for musicians in the dublin, meath and kildare area to start a band this summer. My vocal influences would be Cathey davey, KT tunstall, lisa hannigan and damien rice.
    Overall im influenced by The frames, Travis, coldplay, david gray, snow patrol and general indie rock. I don't have any band experience but i am patient, passionate about music and very open minded. My singing experience has just been talent shows etc... So i guess i'm seeking some males (drummer, guitarists etc...)from 19-25 to work with me to form a great band...whether it be cover songs or originalls and of course to back me up and make me sound hot!!! :)

    is it only males you are looking for...........are you looking to do covers or originals?

    I guess what i mean is i wouldn't like a full girl band! A second female would be fine! I think the best way would be to start out with some covers, have the band nail them. Gives everyone a chance to gel before experimentation of originals.

    where are you based? I think if you can get a group of people to agree on what sounds good, what does age really matter? However since there are ten years between us, our priorities may be somewhat different.

    I am living in Dublin North. Well like you said the age thing doesnt matter once we all want to play the same kind of stuff.
