    Hi Derek,

The organisers event is anyone who ran events in our pub-league over the past 12/13 weeks.

Basically if you did, you qualify and if you didn't, you dont ;)

    Derek
(Organiser) An Organiser is something or someone that has the capabilities of co-ordinating or keeping an event or a task running smoothly. eg. If you had your chips stacked in front of you all in the same coloured sequence , that would be organised therefore you would be an organiser. At this point i am sorry to inform you that you would not pass the basic capabilities to be an organiser, however we will keep your application on file if you were ever able to achieve this minor task .:D:P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,317 ✭✭✭The Clamper

YEP. i was never any good at that, i always assume that those people were super tight and played so few hands that they had time to spend stacking their chips in a very ORGANISED manner, I had no idea at the time that it would end up qualifying them into a free roll, damn and blast the lot of em

i feel confident however, that with a little self disciplin and given enough time, that i too could master this task and maybe qualify next year

thanks for the specifics Damo, as usual, you have been a godsend and a mine of information, ever think of going on "who wants to be a millionaire"?
if ever i go on it, i want you as my "phone a friend"

    q. what is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden female swallow ?
answers on a €50 note please

Just to confirm RE: the definition of an organiser, it should never be confused with a 'Cowboy' or 'Bunch of Cowboys'. Some characteristics of cowboys are:
not honouring guaranteed prizepools and talking bollocks in general.

Just out of the side event 100 FO, 150+ runners i think, great value in the room. Smurph took most of my chips AJ > KK and threw the rest in next few hands, hope she uses em well!

1 thing, standard of dealing was a bit all over the place - 3 dealers, 1 very good, 1 ok but very slow and last chap was all over the shop (think may have jumped in to help out)

Prob donate tomorrow now given standard around the place

It's 250euro for 20th going up about 50-100 quid per place til 10th which is over 1k, then working it's way to 12500 + JP Masters Tickets + Vegas trip for 1st (JP Tickets for top 4 - from prizepool, not added I think).

Heading back as a super short-stack with 3.75 big blinds or 45 antes:D
(was just glad to make the money after playing that long)

Well done to Garry Baxter from Hibernian Poker in Cavan for winning the Tournament Directors event.

There are 20 players coming back tomorrow in the pub league game (they're in the money) Best of luck to Donie Deneher in this to make it a Hibernian Poker double!!!

Is Garry Baxter now Tournament Director at Hibernian Poker?

Thanks to Jp for posting the final 20 for us. It was a very hectic weekend and we will post any information and photos as soon as we can today. Between running 3 games on Saturday, finishing the Grand Final and running our live Tour game on Sunday and the lack of wireless internet access we could not blog the weekend as we had hoped.
Apologies to everyone looking for info.
