    bringing up keane

Would i be right in thinking Wolves will be better set up to cope with the transition to premiership football than promoted clubs would usually be?

fair play Mick, thats one Midlands derby for Villa next season, might get 2 with Birmingham even if WBA look set to go back down

Better equiped than last time for sure - Kightly, Jarvis, Ebanks-Blake, Foley would all grace a good prem side. No doubt plenty of names will be linked in and out. Steve Morgan wanted to buy a Prem team (Liverpool) now he has one and better be willing to invest.

Well done Wolves. Alway's liked McCarthy and admired his achievements in football. Quality manager who never got his fair dues.

Best manager Ireland have ever had.

They've been exceptional this year. Must be a fantastic feeling knowing that they can now relax. Job done. Wouldn't be surprised to see Mick send out a couple of the young lads. Sure why not?

I'm sure Mr. Charlton wouldn't appreciate that.

Its the old Charlton had better players argument I assume.

I would place him a close second to Big Jack too.

Must be horrible having a season of success and winning to be awarded a season of losing and relegation battles.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake already saying the right things about next season

    Liverpool are great

Wolves could be tempted with an offer of about 10-12 million I suspect! :pac:

Would that make him, irelands most successful manager at club level?

    (other than Martin O Neill)

O'leary had Leeds in the CL semi's.

Are we stretching "Irish" to mean the north even though its a seperate country with a seperate team?

O'leary didnt win anything as a manager.

stretching due to the lack of 'irish' managers.

    .
Thats fair enough but, I'd rather get to the semis of the CL than get promoted from the championship.

Gus Hiddink may well win nothign this season, is McCarthy better?

Oh God, I sense another Robbie Keane fisco coming.

Congrats to Wolves, good to see them back. Hope SEB stays with them, tbh. They'll need him to stay up, IMO.

I gathered that, but it's still an awful lot of players to use in one season.

Pretty sure that's the number of players he's used since he took over in 2006?

On reflection, you might actually be right. The first line of the article just kinda gave the impression it was for this season.

How many Irish players are there on the Wolves squad? I know Keogh , Ward and Potter. Good to have more Irish players in the Prem. can only be a good thing really.

Once they don't get demoralised by being rooted to the bottom of the pack.
