Just wondering what other people do in there lessons.

I had already had some experience driving before taking my 1st lesson as I learned how to drive off a friend at the age of 17 then I got my provisional ;) just after I turned 18 but then I just sat on my licence for just over 2 years so re-applied and got my 2nd learners permit.

1st lesson he took me out on a national secondary road and let me fly from there and did a bit of start stop stuff, changing gears, turning corners and roundabouts.

2nd lesson we went out on a regional road did more stuff on observation, getting controlling the car under 80km per hour while trying to stay close to the yellow lines, then ended up going through two small villages one bigger then the other and dealing with parked cars.

3rd lesson went into the town centre which was busy did a lot of stop start stuff, dealing with people coming out of behind cars and my reaction to it, then going from being completely parked to going off at speed eg moving into 2nd and 3rd really fast.

4th lesson hill starts, reversing around a corner, turn abouts and then back through town again.

My next lesson is going to be test routes. Though I still need to work on my breaking I have a tendency to put my foot down on the clutch first then on the break but in my last lesson I only did that once and I need to work on talking off at speed from a junction.

Had my first lesson on wednesday, told her i had zero experience, which is true. She says ill learn better that way, hopefully true.
She drove me out to the side of a national primary road, talked about safety checks, adjusting seat, mirror etc. Then pedals, clutch, handbrake etc.
Drove along the hard shoulder to finish off, sounds small but ive never been near a road behind the wheel before.
Wont be sitting the test until october but was given 5 lessons this month as a present.

Never had any lessons, just pre-tests, got marked on what I needed to work on, worked on it on my own time and did another pre-test. Really effective way to learn - being thrown in at the deep end :p

    All my lessons simulated tests.

Every lesson took different routes that tester favoured.

After the instructor would go through my progress, mistakes and things to work on
