Hope this hasn't already been raised somewhere, haven't seen it. I was recently offered a place on the Postgrad Dip in Education which I have wanted to do for years now after teaching abroad for 5 years. Bad timing with the recession though and the recently announced 5 year (I'm abroad and am not 100% sure if they stated 5 years or indefinite) embargo on the hiring of new public servants including teachers...apparently each secondary school will lose 2.5 teachers this September, nevermind the fact that anyone graduating from this course this June won't have a hope of a job, and I don't see things being much better in one year's time :(. Anyone else offered a place on April 1st, are you going to accept it and what are your concerns about the possibility of finding a job once you graduate?
