sky digital...channels just dissapeared...

    recently all the basic channels like rte1 and sky1 such just disappeared from my sky digital box. rte and tg4 etc. say call X number to upgrade or press the red button, but sky1 etc. says you need X package. but they were bought when i got it! i still have other channels though. i am ringin up tomorrow but until then why did it happen?

    Take out the viewing card and put it back in again.

    or ... switch box off at plug, count to 10, switch back on, wait a full minute (ie 60 seconds, not a metaphorical "minute"), turn box on.

    Have you checked that you haven't missed a direct debit??

    Sounds like you have been switched off, and the "other" channels you are receiving are the fta ones (you can check by removing the card and see can you still view them.

    If recently installed sky will take two payments about two weeks after installation, sometimes sooner.One is for your first month then the other is for your month in advance, as you have to give them 30 days notice to cancel.
