Hi Lads, I took out my old camcorder (Sony TVR460E) after 3 years of no use and when i went to watch a tape on it there were 2 large grey lines across the screen. Hi Lads,

I took out my old camcorder (Sony TVR460E) after 3 years of no use and when i went to watch a tape on it there were 2 large grey lines across the screen. I hit the record button for a second and
a message flashed up on the screen that the heads were dirty. Cool enough i reckoned. The only thing is when i set it to record, the lcd screen is black and you can see nothing through the viewfinder (yes the lens cover is off!!). Surely that is not normal on any camcorder, that even though the heads are dirty, it will not let you see anything through the viewfinder or the lcd screen - or is it?
