    Hi

I have just bought a 03 Honda civic saloon which has some minor dents and scratches. I have repaired the damage and taken the code from under the bonnet, satin silver NH623M.I have tried motorway in Cork but they have several different shades of this colour on the colour cards. So it is a bit hit and miss.I have also tried Halfords and the two shades they supply do not match. I have also tried Johnsons and Perrot Honda dealers .They do not mix paint or even direct me to a paint supplier who can match the metalic paint exactly. Can anybody point me in the right direction

Try looking for an automotive paint specialist. Bear in mind though that you will probably be sold waterbase paint which is not really a diy job. If you're anywhere near Dublin or Athlone you could try Vinny Byrne. They could mix up an aerosol in the correct shade which you could spray yourself.

or else buy online from paintscratch.com in America.

I havent used him myself and his name escapes me at this moment in time but there is a guy near murphys brewery that might help. As you're heading out of town towards Blackpool shopping centre, pass through both sets of lights along the brewery and on the right hand side after the second set you'll see a little garage. Pretty reasonable too from what I've heard

Silver is the hardest colour to match and the main dealers won't supply more than touch-up in a bottle.

Ask in your local motor factors who mixes paint locally. Try a small amount, good chance it won't be right on the first go.
