    Hi all,

I am looking to going on a holiday with a couple of mates. We are looking for a lively place to go in Europe. Basically we want sun, sea and great night life!! :) We are looking to go in the first week in June.

Can anyone recommend great places to go?

    Thanks in advance

Sunny Beach in Bulgaria would have all the attractions that you would want.

My advice would be to go to Ayia Napa!

I go away every year for a party holiday. Sometimes twice. Usually use to go with my ex and another couple or two but this year I am single so have already been to Lanzorate and going for 2 weeks to Ayia Napa in 5 weeks time (as well as Gran Canaria on Aug 1st for 2 weeks). Going away with 5 lads signle lads, a couple more also out of long terms, and we were told this is the place for us to hit. Some people say it can be a bit expensive but on other forums that it is about 3 Euro a drink. and in other places were they charge 5 they give you 2 for 1. That's ok in my book and considering the Beach and the nightclubs I have seen reviews for it looks like we will be getting value for money.
Also we are staying in the green bungelows which is advised to be the best place to go if you are young, irish and single because there's a 24 hour bar and the place parties all night.

Other places I have been to over the last 5 years.

Kusadasi - First holiday with my ex. Was 19 and it was brilliant. However it is very small so only a few bars to check out and the crowd I would say is young (16-20 majority, lots are just kids allowed out by parents). I went back again when 22 and I didn't enjoy it as much. The locals and food is great though.

Lanzorate - I love Lanzorate. Think it's beautiful. The night life is quite good but I think in high season there won't be as many groups of single people as there are many couples. But I was there in March for a week with my mate and it was a great time to hit it. Was a good few single girls just haven't a break so we hit it off with all them.

Tennerife - Went here in high season. Defo a party place to go. I enjoyed myself big time and there will be plenty of single groups. Only warning would be it is very British. There are lots of Irish but totally out numbered and they can be a bit of trouble. But we never had any problems.

Puerto Rico - Would avoid if you want a party holiday. I enjoyed myself but it was more of a relaxing holiday. The place is quite small although there are some good bars and good food places.

Out of all the ones I went to I'd advise Tennirife. But I really have high hopes for Ayia Napa. Going to Playa Del Ingles as well at the end of the summer as me mate was there before and said it's a party resort but I do know people say it's a kip. But full of Irish if you are into that.
Crete lots of people give out about but then again lots of people seem to like it. But so far it has not appealed to me

i really cant understand why people go on holidays to party and drink. what a complete waste of time, have ye no interest in sight seeing and learning about different people / culture etc. playa des ingles is a complete mess of a place. ballymun in the sun

Depends on where you are going and when. In Turkey I went to see Ephesus which was great and a break from just partying. On other trips I'd do boat trips or jeep safari's etc. In Paris you would go to Effiel Tower, in Rome you go to the colusim (spelling). But some holidays you've been working all year and you just wanna let your hair down. In my case it's my first year out of a long term relationship so want to meet plenty of women

Stay away from that Sunny Beach kip. Myself and a few friends went there last year for a week. I was never as glad to be home out of a place. Food was MUCK beyond belief in every single restaurant, and we visited a lot of them. Partying was terrible, way too many pubs spread out over too great a distance with no atmosphere whatsoever. Beach is full of loungers and dirty. Every shop and stall plays loud dance music 24 hours a day. Just trust me and stay away from that sh*thole.

To be honest my idea of a great holiday is going out every night and meeting people. Sure if you meet someone nice on a night out you can meet them the next day for dinner then go out again that night. It's all good

and I do. but it's much better when you are out in the sun with your top off getting a tan and meeting people who you can be friends with for the whole holiday, may even get a holiday romance out of it

but how can you lie out in the sun and get a tan if u are drinking until dawn in a 24 hr bar. you would be all day in bed

I make sure I get up at a reasonable time. If I am in bed by 6 I'll be up at 12 latest and just cabbage by the Pool or on the beach. Then hit a meal about 5:30, have a siesta and then head back out about 10

Oh come on, its called a vacation for a reason, to relax!! Plenty more years ahead of a youngings life for sightseeing and whatnot. Let us enjoy the sunny side of life! And if you ask me its ALOT more fun meeting people out abroad then it is in Dublin or anywhere else in Ireland. At least you can party with them till sunrise abroad!

Agreed. It is much easier to start a conversation as well as you are all there for the same reason

Yes its a dump and the food was terrible but i went there last summer and couldn't get enough of the place. Party all night then chill by the pool during the day with some waterpark and casino thrown in. There was always great atmosphere out and as long as you dont act stupid and you're there to have a good time then that's what you will do!

Well ive been to Santa Ponsa and Crete, Crete was very good but Santa Ponsa was even better which surprised me as i thought it was Ballymun in the sun. Deadly crack in Santa Ponsa with no trouble and the Shamrock rocks.

oh sweet jesus...more fckin self righteous pricks on boards.

    1. The man can go on holiday where ever he likes.

    2. you saw the thread "party holiday" did you actually come to complain?

    3. Fact is some young people happen to enjoy getin a few of there best mates together and lying in the sun, gettin pissed and having a great time and if you happen to think your above that, I think your the one with the "sad life" if you feel the need to tell everyone.

Now can I ask for some help me and the lads are looking to get away so out of all the places you have been, wheres the cheapest??
