I am looking for a golf club membership for six months, as I plan to be out of the country from the end of September. Are there any clubs in North Dublin that offer six month memberships?

    Thanks,

I've been actively searching for deals myself for normal membership but what I can tell you is what many of the golf lads on here told me. Find the club/clubs that interest you and call and talk to someone and strike a deal. It would appear to be a buyer's market in some clubs, not all, just some would be receptive I'd expect.

I haven't heard of such an option before but good luck anyway..

I only this w/end got a membership in carton House from now until the end of Jan 2010 for €1,700...

IMO is a great deal as I have the academy there aswell which is included and have the practise facilities aswell as the 2 courses.

I reckon if you rang up the club and tried to negociate to lease somebodies membership you could get a similar price.

Is deadly as City West was really annoying me with no practise facilities and the amount of 4 balls taking a age to get around,,,

Is a bit more of a trek in the evenings but will get as much out of it as I can..

If you or anyone is looking to play give me a shout

I opted for the same lease this week and in the process of joining Carton. My deal is slightly dearer and only until Dec 31st though, I presume you haggled directly with a member?

Either way, delighted with it now after searching for ages, looking forward to playing the Wed and Sun comps now - after I get a handicap sorted. Of all courses to try get a handicap on after all this time, those single figures will be a distant memory! Should I opt for the O'Meara for 3 rounds or how the hell will that handicap allocation work!?!?

Better keep my job now or this move will haunt me! :o

Lucky sod, out on the O' Meara right now in that sunshine! Got a terrible 9 holes in last night so still have to play it to see these 'Amen Corner' holes. They sound great. Although easy, the Tee shot on the first is a superb opener I thought.

By the way, club have struck a deal with Fota and Mountjuliet for weekdays where members play each for nothing* T&Cs apply of course! How about that for a nice little bonus!

I PM'd you last week I think? In relation to fees etc....

I played the O'Meara today and had a horrid front 9 and then +1 back nine as learned how to hit the ball again..

14 - 16 are deadly done them in level and should have had at least 2 birdies as hit both par 3's inside 12ft

Sorry didn't see PM will check it now..

    hi,
I recently moved house and I'm looking for a new golf club. I was just wondering where carton is situated and do they do juvenile memberships?
