Silverstone - FAQ's

I'm thinking about going to Silverstone for the British Grand Prix. I'm not really interested in camping or staying in a hostel. So I was hoping to get a heads up as to where else I could stay (thinking hotel or B&B). I don't know how easy it will be to get accomodation, especially something close to the circuit.

I'm going to do some other research online but I figured this would be a good place to get some extra info.

Any other tips as to where to fly into or how best to get around? I know Silverstone had been a nightmare to get to in previous years but I don't know how well they've upgraded the roads and stuff.

You can always go on one of the package deals with the likes of the Travel Department, everythings covered but it's quite expensive. That's if you need to stay in a hotel.

You won't get local accomodation now anyway I suspect, everywhere will be booked up.

    Except the campsites!

Camping in my opinion is the only way to do Silverstone. As Ficus says, don't rule it out.
