Right, question I've been running through with my mate, but we can't decide an answer:
Is cheating on someone with a mental illness, a worse moral-crime than cheating on someone who doesn't have a mental illness?

How do you know the person without the mental disorder won't go mental when they find out you've been cheating.

I would love to know what kind of conversation brought about you're question,OP.

Mental illness = Great in the sack.

Mental illness also = Chopped to bits with a meat cleaver.

    I'd advise against cheating

Well it's wrong in both cases, but i don't see how something can be more wrong than another.......maybe more guilt involved ?

    either way stupid topic.

Depression is a mental illness, banning depressed people from dating probably wouldn't go down too well...

It would have to depend on the mental illness. I mean if they had ADHD and stopped in the middle of casual sex to talk about their trip to the grocery store, then hell yeah I'd cheat on them. But cheating on someone with say, depression, or addictions, it might send them right over an edge.

 I don't know, you might want to be a bit more specific with what mental illness you're talking about. Is cheating on somebody with a physical illness worse? What if they had a cold, is that worse than if they don't have one?

    Strange, strange question.

once a cheater, always a cheater :pac:

it would depend a bit on their mental illness
if it was something likely to be excaberated by what you do then yes
if they have a history of axe murdering their ex lovers, then go for it

Talking about physotic illnesses mainly, not physical.

And it is a strange question, but also a curious one.

You must've been really drunk to come up with this one. Here's another version:
Is shooting someone with a mental illness, a worse moral-crime than shootingsomeone who doesn't have a mental illness?

No, they're both the same. And that's from someone who knows a lot about the practicalities of 'mental illness'.

I was trying to point out that physical illnesses and mental illnesses are both illnesses at the end of the day, so it makes little difference if you cheat on a mentally-ill or non-mentally-ill person. The distinction should be as much as between cheating on a person with a cold or not with a cold- i.e. not any difference at all.
