Does anyone have a Giro Ionos helmet?

I'm looking to buy a Large in red somewhere on-line. CRC is outta stock and Wiggle is just too expensive at €174.

    Anywhere else I could try?

Probikekit have them too, but they're still pricey.

Scratch that, they don't have it in red.

CSS isn't any cheaper, but at least they're local.

Not a great time of year to buy a helmet.

I has an Ionos, I think its ok, probably not worth the price (I got mine cheap).

Might be best getting an atmos, very little difference between the two.

I too have an Ionos, and while they're a great helmet, it is expensive (like Dirk, I got it cheap in a sale) the Atmos was the top model for years, Lancey baby wore one, and so if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for any of us :)

i am using Atmos for a few years now, and no issues. For such a vital part of cycling gear it is important to have the best.

Have you tried it on and does it fit properly? as different models may fit better and be more comfortable

    Thanks for advice.

I'll try and see a Atmos and try it on. Also tried on Specialized 2D recently and thought it was really really comfortable.

Ended up getting this http://www.bbbparts.com/helmets_falcon-bhe01.php in red in local bike shop (Siopa Rothar, Limerick) as I didn't want to cycle without helmet while waiting for delivery on-line. Very happy with is so far.

That's not a bad lookin one for a BBB product - have to call in there to John myself in the next short while (mmm, carbon wheels...maybe)

I've an Ionos and dont have any probs at all, nothing to compare it to cause its the only one I ever had.

The way look at it is I've only one head so protect it all costs.

CSS €170, standard price I think.

Yeah, but I use this one mostly for commuting and when I do lock it with the bike by putting the U-lock thru one of the air vents. And TBH I don't think the extra €120 is for extra safety at all, its for comfort and lightness.

EDIT: I paid €50 for mine.
