    Hey wats up. Im looking for a gear box for a 04 VW golf 1.9tdi. Anybody know of one available or some good breaker yards?? Would be much appreciated...

    Is it a 5 or 6 speed?
    Try Traynors up north, you may also be able to get your own gearbox refurbished with a warranty on the work done.

    5 speed mate. dont think the original is fixable. its pretty wrecked. Yeah have trayners number, will give them a buzz tomorrow, cheers mate

    Try Mr Gearbox. Their number is in the phone book. I got it done cheaper (Nissan Almera) in a small garage outside Dublin but their quote wasn't bad.
