I reckon I'll give this a go in the Sports category. I'll crawl on the technical bits, but might be able to get some scalps on the fireroads. Provided I can get there from Naas (hint hint)

Anyone interested ? Kenmc, Blorg, Tiny, Aquinas, Dirk, all you new mtb purchasers?

Doing the 100 in Naas on Sunday, and far too slow to race MTB

Unfortunate timing really. Living in Naas would have made the Naas 100 somewhat easy to attend!

I'm doing the Naas thing but mean to give MTB racing a go, only one question, if you are relatively technically incompetent is that going to be annoying to other riders, e.g. are there situations you are going to be blocking people on the singletrack? I wouldn't want to be doing that.

It will only annoy others if you dont get out of the way (when its possible to do so) for other quicker riders coming through on the singletrack.

Most racers will give a fairly audible " rider up" call if they want to get past you.

As long as you hold up all the faster riders by the same amount it's probably ok :)
