Just looking for a bit of help on this. My friend is looking to borrow my camcorder for a college project.

The exact model of the camcorder is:

    Sony DVD 115 DVD Camcorder.

The editing software she has to use for her project is Avid and I've been trawling through sites but can't find a straight answer.

If anyone can help me that'd be great. Thanks.

prolly not natively. as the camera records as mpeg2 and possible ac3 audio.

They will need to rip the dvd, and use something like mpegstreamcip to convert the vob to dv and then import said dv footage into the avid.
