They are the HTS( Home Theatre models) rather then the DAVD (DVD audio models).

Amp-head , speakers and cable in the box.

2.1 only if you live inside your bedroom( I dont rate them).
5.1 if you want to hear those bullets wiz by you in call of duty.
Or any immersion type sound from a movie.

Yes they do a smiler "tall boy" but your going to add a DVD player if you use a DAVDZ, unless you want to multi region its dvd player.

    ht-sf2300 , HT-SF1300

Solid budget systems with out going down the separates path. ( big'ish amplifier and separate speakers).
And no, unfortunatly for those of us who have a Bluray/DVD player its not an easy ask for just an afordable amp.
The manafactuering-consumer mind set is its easyer if its in a box, hence the intergrated DVD.

You could also look at Logitech Z5500?

Probably put money into a stereo amp with a nice set of speakers , not 2.1. Very few of them come without a dvd at the €300 price.

Back of the AMP, there is no DVD player in that model. HDMI to and from the unit yes.

Have a hunt in harvey's or currys, they would be wanting to clear out the HT-SF1300 for the new moddles as fast as possible.
