Been reading abit on Bodrum and Kos. Anyone here been to these places?

Im 24 years old, so looking for insights into nightlife etc.

    Bodrum / Kos

Best places to stay? (Any links?)

    Things to do?

Whats the cost of food / drink like?

    Cost of Accommodation?

Group of us thinking of going for 2 weeks in July, is that a good month? Thinking of staying 1 week in Bodrum and 1 week in Kos, does that sound like the right thing to do!?

    Cheers

We stayed in gumbet, the resort beside bodrum about 4 years ago. Not the prettiest beach ever but the place is full of bars & reataurants- very reasonable & great selection of food. They have a street in gumbet called bar street & i know there is a big open air nightclub in bodrum itself. We never actually went but heard good things. Went to kos too for a day & it was lovely, a much nicer beach there & loads of young people. We got a great deal at the time - 2 wks for about 337 each!!

I stayed in Kos town for a week 2 years ago. Beautiful weather and cheap food and drink. Gorgeous place, I'd recommend it.
We went on a day trip to Bodrum, although it was only a 20 min ferry journey it was a completely different place. I hated it and would never go back. I thought the people were really annoying, heckling us all day and the men were so sleazy.
Maybe you should have a look at other greek islands close to Kos eg Rhodes and stay there for a week.
Having said that, some people love Turkey, that's just my opinion!

went to kos last summer and loved it, the weather is fab an nightlife is great craic. id stay away from kardamena in kos its very english, more expensive drink etc. Kos town is where i stayed. you can do day trips to bodrum from there to shop, thats wat most ppl do

Went there last year. Rained constantly, and drinks were a total rip off. Beach was nice though.
